Akram Didari was born and raised in Tehran, Iran. She has been living in Bethel, Alaska since 2005. She has an M.A. in Journalism-Social Communication. She worked as a journalist for an Iranian reformist daily newspaper for 13 years. She also has a Graduate Certificate in Elementary Education. Currently, She is a preschool teacher.
