Alexander Kaufman became an editorial cartoonist while still serving in the army during Israel's war of Independence. He then started a design career specializing in museums and theme exhibitions in the US and overseas. Addicted to political history and geography he developed a keen interest in research, especially in the area of Biblical archeology situated around the Mediterranean. His work brought him to countries around the globe while he kept writing about his impressions, his findings and the people. A five year research and interview quest, retracing people events and sites in the former war torn parts of Europe culminated in his book THE PRECIPICE OPTION.
TRAWLING TWENTY CENTURIES and SAL &AL/Opinions from the Trenches are some of his other books. TIME FLIES and ON THE ROAD TO HALICZ are poised to be published in the coming months.
Kaufman lives and works in New York City and on Long Island when not traveling the world in search of material for his next book.
