Amanda Church, writing as A.J. Church and Aesyn Cravery, lives and writes in Tampa, Florida. Her current projects include The Sacrifice urban fantasy series (under the Aesyn Cravery name) and the ‘Ru Lexicon urban fantasy trilogy under teh A.J. Church name. She also has two standalone books, Being John Bland, a dark humor novel about an accidental serial killer, and The True Soul, a fated paranormal romance.
Growing up she was a military brat, constantly on the move until her family settled in St. Petersburg when she was twelve. She found her friends in the stories she read and later wrote. As she got older, she really leaned into her love of writing. Often she would write stories about fantastical people and places because she couldn't find the ones she wanted to read. She always had a love of the paranormal, the odd, the supernatural. Tales of ghosts, vampires, werewolves, demons, and witches populated her imagination. Her first book, which she wrote when she was 18, was about a vampire who lived in an old water tower in Tampa. She admits it wasn't that good, but it helped her hone her craft. There were more of what she termed throw-away novels that taught her how to write a good story. A college mentor, and a stint as the editor of her college literary magazine, also helped shape her command of grammar and writing. When she graduated from college, she went on to have a successful career as a copywriter and editor. Now she spends her days playing in the imaginary worlds she creates.
