In his first life, Brian worked as a contractor and civil engineer in bustling Seattle. He worked for the Washington State Department of Transportation and in the public works departments of two Seattle bedroom communities. He ended his career in the city he called home as a child, Burien, Washington.
After retirement, he and his wife traded big city life for the outdoor adventures of Central Oregon. On winter mornings you can find him shredding the slopes at Mt Bachelor. During the summer he explores the local mountain bike trails.
Brian has summited Mt. Rainier, walked the 480-kilometer Camino de Santiago in Spain, trekked the Inca Trail, swum in Mayan cenotes in Mexico’s Yucatan Peninsula, and rafted the Grand Canyon. During the COVID pandemic, he and his wife hiked throughout Oregon. As travel restrictions ease, they look forward to resuming foreign and domestic adventure travel.
Brian’s writing draws deeply on his lifelong loves of science, technology and adventure sports. His EPSILON Sci-Fi Thriller series now boasts two novels: Red Dragon and Crimson Lucre.
