Merrium-Webster Said it best, So Conjure up your favorite expression of greeting, goodwill, or courtesy by word, gesture, or ceremony here...and imagine a low, somewhat antiquated, but still entirely relevant, bow from myself. By now I'm sure that you already know who I am, but id like to offer you a few tasty bits of information upon which your hungry, inquiring mind may chew to satiate said desire!
I'm 39 years old, as of August 2020, and I live in a smallish town between two much larger not so smallish towns in the pacific northwest of the USA. I was born in Oregon state but my family saw fit to uproot me from the coast and move me to Washington state when I was two years of age, barely knee high, and entirely unable to propose argument. There I have stayed...living in two even smaller cities before settling into my current medium-sized, somewhat centrally located habitation.
As I grew, my stature eventually halted at five feet, nine and three-quarter inches. While I was originally somewhat perturbed that I had not reached a full six feet, I eventually became thrilled at my "nine and three-quarters" for obvious literary reasons. I have finally made a somewhat "compromised peace" with my height.
Yes, I am bald! Hair has long graced the rest of myself with an ease that could be viewed as just a bit aggressive. However, I decided at a young age to put the self-abolishing follicles that were in constant recession on the top of me out of their misery. I regularly hold a beard between 1/4 inch and 6 inches. Occasionally I'll shave clean until I inevitably realize the error of my ways and grow my covering back. Thankfully, it only takes around 2 weeks as I firmly believe that I am part chia-pet. I plan, someday, when I am an older me, to see how long it will actually grow without any trimming at all, in the hopes of attaining the venerable Gandalfian/Dumbledorian status of the most well-bearded of wizards.
"Promise. A book of Death" is my first book, and (I hope) the first of many. The initial line, and the subsequent paragraph to follow it, floated around in my head for quite some time as an observation, and then an idea, and finally a story. That story then stewed for a while and branched out as it morphed and developed into multiple other tales occurring in various universes with many different characters while I traveled amongst them all and gathered together my first offering. I very much anticipate future journeys into what remains in my mind, so that I may again share with you from the diverse and sundry lore.
Always...
