Dean Cycon is an author, lawyer, human rights advocate and internationally renowned social entrepreneur who has lived and worked in over sixty countries. Cycon is a passionate explorer of culture and history, seeking out unexamined corners that illuminate the human condition. His narrative non-fiction, Javatrekker: Dispatches from the World of Fair Trade Coffee (Chelsea Green, 2008) was awarded Publishers Weekly Starred Review and the Gold Medal for Best Travel Essay by the Independent Publishers Association. His first novel, FINDING HOME (Hungary, 1945) won the Independent Press Award for Judaism. His second novel, A QUEST FOR GOD AND SPICES, is a literary medieval romp exploring the search for the mythical king Prester John in the thirteenth century.
