Elise Abiel is quite ordinary yet has experienced some extraordinary adversity and adventure. She experienced the fragility of life, as a young mother of an infant and two-year-old, when tragedy left her suddenly widowed. Later she battled stage 4 cancer yet lived. A zeal to know God and live fully motivated her to pursue adventures throughout the world. She’s also lived coast to coast, in seven states, giving her a wide array of cultural experience. Abiel has a love for both art and science, with an associate’s degree in mechanical design, an art and design focus at a California state university, and a bachelor’s degree from Bible college. Blessed to be a stay-at-home parent when her children were young, she owned and managed a homemade ice cream shop to fund world missions, teaming with her children, friends, and local teens. A quiet problem solver, with the heart of an advocate, Elise desires to see others find God and live a purposeful life. And so, she tells her story, and a glimpse of God’s, in The Love Tree.
