Florrie Munat spent six years caregiving for her husband while he struggled with dementia. She published three nonfiction books and articles that appeared in Highlights for Children, Cricket, Scholastic Dynamath, Storytelling, and Microsoft’s My Personal Tutor software, among others. She has written over 100 book reviews for young adults and recorded hundreds of short stories and audiobooks for the Washington Talking Book & Braille Library. A former librarian, English teacher, and university press worker, she lives on an island in Puget Sound where she is writing a memoir about grieving.
