I am an author working in the genre of magical realism with a basis in the secret doctrine or the ancient wisdom as some like to call it.

It’s an incredibly rich source for the backdrop to my work but don’t think it’s all religious musings. My human characters are up to their necks in the pleasures of the real world. I mix the divine with the darker undercurrents of the human condition and explore what drives us all on. Sex, drugs, rock ‘n’ roll, love and death and laughter - that’s what makes a life worth reading about. I don’t like books where nothing happens. Literary musings are okay in the hands of the greats but please, leave it to them. Writers writing about the difficulty of writing and the pain they go through…….spare me!

I want to tell you epic tales because the ancient wisdom tells of the epic journey we are all on. This life we have here is but a small part of the bigger picture. Every world religion has it’s origins in this secret doctrine. It’s passed down in secret societies and hidden in plain sight through metaphorical tales in religious tracts and symbolism but look closely and it’s the same fabulous story.

I like to think stories should entertain, provoke, enthral and leave you a little richer that before. That’s my aim as a writer and my desire as a reader. I write the kind of stuff I like to read.

The gods are still with us - we haven’t killed them yet.
