H. Les Brown grew up in West Hartford, Connecticut, and has master’s degrees in philosophy and theology from the University of Ottawa, Ontario, Canada. He has worn many hats throughout his careers: minister and spiritual director, computer programmer and tech writer, Chief Information Officer and Quality Systems Auditor, and Certified Life Coach. He contributed articles to the Worldwide Coaching ezine and published a little self-help book for entrepreneurs. His last gig was as a Management and Program Analyst at Headquarters Marine Corps in the Pentagon. He retired in 2015 and moved to Palm Springs with his husband Craig Gibson. He published his first novel, We Are Not Saints: The Priest in 2021 and followed it with The Acolyte in 2022, The Monk in 2023, and the fourth book of the series, The Bishop, in 2024.
