JA Huss is a scientist, New York Times Bestseller, USA Today Bestseller, and a cowgirl who rides English. Several of her audiobooks have been nominated for the Audie and SOVA Awards and she was a RITA Finalist in 2019.
Five of her books were optioned for TV/film, and she co-wrote a pilot for MGM with actor/screenwriter, Johnathan McClain.
In her seventeen years as a self-published author, she has written hundreds of non-fiction science workbooks for children and nearly a hundred adult novels—mostly twisted, spicy dark romance, with a bit of romantic fantasy and sci-fi romance as side projects.
JA Huss enjoys experimenting with tropes and genres, almost always delivering unexpected twists while still meeting reader expectations. She never writes the same story twice and her creative process is filled with sleepless nights and endless angst that leads to perfect endings.
Plot and pacing are things she takes seriously, worldbuilding and characterization are her trademark strengths, and she loves taking big risks that sometimes pay off.
She has signed at Book Bonanza several times (as well as dozens of other indie events) and will be attending DarkStar Con this summer in New Orleans.
She lives on a ranch in Colorado with her family and farm animals.
