JAYE BURKE is a southern historian, genealogist, and bestselling author whose focus is the 19th and early to mid 20th centuries. A southern girl through and through, Jaye loves to imagine herself in the old south through her writing. She is a descendant of the Alabama Pioneers who immigrated to the United States from Norfolk, England, in the late 1600s. Her fictional characters are drawn from personal experiences, family recollections, friends, and her family tree, which documents over twelve generations.
Originally from Birmingham, Alabama, and a former resident of New Orleans and Mandeville, Louisiana, she is the proud mother of three grown children and an adoring grandmother. Jaye lives with her husband and spoiled baby dachshund, Cristobel, in Atlanta, Georgia.
