Jocelyn’s quest for wellbeing, and good food began over 30 years ago, and running against the grain has not always been easy.
Her dietary path, often tumultuous, began with throwing sugar and white bread out of the pantry. High-stress jobs, out-of-control weight, irritated bowel syndrome, and adrenal fatigue meant Jocelyn needed to step up to new heights to maintain good health for the rest of life.
On a journey to explore diets which incorporated more vegetables, she began growing herbs and vegetables to ensure her family ate spray free, ate less meat, ate no packaged products, removed commercial breads and dairy from the family diet, reduced wine and coffee, and got moving. Jocelyn transformed her body and lost 22 kilograms over 15 months.
It was important to do formal nutritional study with a credible organisation that mirrored Jocelyn’s philosophy: whole food and holistic wellbeing. Successfully completing a course in nutrition with the Functional Nutrition Academy, established by Cyndi O’Meara from Changing Habits, Jocelyn has become a Certified Functional Nutrition consultant. Studies continue with the Gut Microbiome extension course through the same academy, and a Certificate in Herbal Medicine. Life is about learning and sharing the knowledge.
