I started personal writing over the past few years. In 2010, Ico-wrote a business book called, Beyond the 401(k). Then I co-founded a national coaching program called Cash Balance Coach.
But then something happened in 2016 that changed my life: my son killed a man with his car while high on heroin. Lucas, my son, was then sentenced to ten years in prison.
I doubled down on journaling just to stay sane. Then I started to write letters to my estranged son. And eventually I penned my heart-on-my-sleeve memoir, Letters to My Son in Prison.
