Lauren Everett is a photographer, musician, video artist and flaneur from Los Angeles, living in Portland, OR. She holds a BS in film from the University of Texas, and has studied photography at Pratt Institute and Los Angeles City College. Her creative inspirations and interests include twentieth century archetypes, ancient myths, local legends, modern rituals, historical mysteries, golden age Hollywood, neon signs, film noir and color theory. Her work has appeared on Huffington Post, Slate, Vice’s Creator’s Project blog, Fast Co Design’s Exposure Blog, and in VIA Publication, LA Record, and Frontiers Magazine. Her first book, People Like Us: The Cult of The Rocky Horror Picture Show was released in the Fall of 2015 on Croatoan.
