Though my early childhood was spent in the Uintah Basin of eastern Utah, I consider Craig, Colorado, where my parents relocated us when I was eleven years old, to be my hometown. Since those glorious high school years in small-town America, I have lived and worked all over the United States. From Florida to Oregon, to New Mexico, to Arkansas, and finally back to Colorado. I have worked as a truck driver, an appliance installer, a lumberjack, and more. The prime of my work life from 1986 to 2010 was spent in the excavation/construction business. First as a heavy equipment operator, then into management and finally as part owner of my own excavation contracting business.
From my very first attempt at creative writing, a poem titled A Box Of Crayons that I vaguely remember writing in grade school, writing has been a lifelong hobby. A hobby that has become a passion now that I have retired from the American workforce. I am currently writing my second novel and plan to write and publish as many works as the swiftly passing years and the fates allow. It’s my fondest hope that you, the reader, enjoy the reading as much as I enjoy the writing.
