As a child of the 40s raised with little supervision that could not be easily evaded, imagination was my reliable co-conspirator. I grew up in the era when L. Frank Baum, Lewis Caroll, Theodor Seuss Geisel, Ogden Nash, and A.A. Mile were at their zenith in print and the movies. Stories from that era were written to be shared with children in moments of love and laughter and to create warm memories to last a lifetime. For me, childhood was a time of innocence, adventure, and imagination.
When the global pandemic struck, I needed to immerse myself in creativity for sanity's sake. The product of that time was Mouse Trax, a story inspired by the innocence of my youth.
