Michael received back in the late 90's a creative writing certificate from West Virginia University. He also runs a successful writer's group for almost two decades called For The Love Of Words. When he has time, he teaches at local libraries Story 101 - How to Create a Story. He has won in every category in a state-funded wordsmith competition over a five-year period in Poetry, Essay, Short Story, and One Act Play.
