Michael Scherperel is a composer, conductor, vocal coach, and collaborative pianist with a background in science and medicine as well. He has studied at Harvard, the Eastman School of Music, the University of Miami, and Tufts School of Medicine. His first novel, Fair to Middling, was written at about the same time as his second opera, Thompson’s Luck. Scherperel’s short story collection Fraternal (2019) includes an apocalyptic story surrounding a global epidemic, LGBTZ. The fully novelized version of that tale has just been released for Kindle on Amazon.
