Nic Ularu is the recipient of the OBIE award for outstanding achievement in Off-Broadway theater in New York (2003) and has extensive playwright and director credits in USA and Europe. His recent works as a playwright and director include several acclaimed productions at LaMaMa - New York, “O” Teatret - Sweden,  the National Theatre of Iasi - Romania, and the National Theatre of Cluj - Romania. In 2008, his play “Cherry Orchard Sequel,” produced at LaMaMa, got the New York Times theatre critics' pick. Dr. Nic Ularu is a distinguished professor at the University of South Carolina, USA.
