Norma Taylor was born in a small mining town called Leonora in rural Western Australia. She attended secondary school in Kalgoorlie. Her father is a recognised sportsperson and is on the goldfields sporting hall of fame in Kalgoorlie. Before she married farmer Ken, Norma was in the Air Force. When Norma is not writing stories, she is playing the Ukulele with her local music group. She also enjoys painting landscapes, gardening, and spending time with her teenage grandsons.
