The result is "Unplugged," a stand-alone Young Adult novel, and a nine volume series of
historical novels. Entitled "The Ordeals of Elly Robin," they recount the adventures of a
young musical prodigy, orphaned by the Great San Francisco Earthquake of 1906, and cast
adrift upon the world.
