Rainer Link, 76, of Hudson, Wisconsin has always been a storyteller, but it wasn’t until after his grandchildren came along that he began sharing his stories in writing. His first book, The Activists, is about four young people who make it their mission to agitate against the decay of democracy. HIs second novel, Tales of Political Infidels, Trump's Lickspittles and Lackeys was largely inspired by what happened at the U.S. Capitol on January 6, 2021.
After graduating from The University of Albany with a Bachelor of Arts in German, Link earned his Masters in German at the University of Massachusetts and a Ph.D. in German from The University of Connecticut. He decided against working in academia, however, instead spending a 25 plus year career in sales and marketing at 3M before retiring in 2010. Rainer Link and his wife live just outside Hudson, Wisconsin on a secluded property surrounded by woods. He enjoys spending his free time chopping wood, going on hikes, and playing soccer.
