About the Author, Robert J. Potter

     Born and reared in Jacksonville, Illinois, Robert continued his education in Peoria, Illinois, at Bradley University, where he received advanced degrees in foreign languages and clinical science.  Since then, he has lived in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, as well as Tampa, Florida.  His career has been a mixed sampling, ranging from theatre manager to clinical scientist to Team Leader at an assessment firm.  Currently, he lives in Jacksonville, Illinois, where he is an author of science fiction novels and mysteries.  As a pastime, he enjoys karate and playing the piano.

     Also, for those who are unfamiliar with his style, Robert tends to use British spellings and idioms, as well as antiquated or obsolete words.  His unique literary choice is not meant to be offensive.  Rather, Robert has a strong respect for tradition, and that unqualified respect is reflected in his works.

     On a personal note, I should like to encourage all new writers.  Do not allow other people to dissuade you from pursuing your dreams, whether you write for pleasure or to secure a potential income.  Believe me...  I have read many published works—some of them, riddled with mistakes—and yet, they [the books] have managed to become best sellers.  In short, never stop trying, or you might forego a golden opportunity.
