For the last decade, Auntie Shanny has worked in film and television as a Production Designer, Art Director, and SPFX Scenic Artist. Her creativity has influenced films such as Avengers: Infinity War (Part 1 & 2), Geostorm, Terminator Genisys, and most recently Obi-Wan Kenobi. A writer at heart, Auntie Shanny saw her commitment to providing space for laughter, affection, love, and adventure flourish as she began experimenting with poetry. It is through a sustained commitment to the craft and inspiration from the creative world in which she works that Auntie Shanny composed her debut children’s poetry collection, A Flower in the Attic. Auntie Shanny designed the collection as a humorous think piece to which readers of all ages can relate—one that, by design, they can consume alone, with people they love, or with people they have just met. Auntie Shanny currently lives in California and has a lot of stories to tell—with more to come.
