My name is William Lynn Smith and no, the FBI did not select it for me. I am a boomer (born in 1950) and I grew up among a whole bunch of story tellers in West Tennessee along the Mississippi River. In 1968 I started a life time career in the rail transportation industry and retired in 2009. During that time I worked as a switchman in the rail yard, supervisor of the yard, safety manager for the Yellowstone Division, haz-mat emergency responder and finally the Manager of Government Reporting for BNSF Railroad. All during that time I listened. Listened to the tall and short tales told by folks coming in and out of my life. Finally after retirement, and with a great deal of time on my hands, I began to write them down. I began doing that for my own memory and finally fictionalizing them into novels and short stories. I have always had a vivid imagination and that wasn't always a good thing. As a kid it cost me several trips to the tractor shed. Now that imagination plus the life experiences have blossomed into books that I pray will entertain my readers
