I enjoyed this fast paced thriller immensely.
Author Marguerite Ashton delivers a story that quite exceeded my expectations and hooked me on this series.
The past comes back with a fury when our main character, Lily, finds herself on her first case and – is it her imagination?- She sees similarities to her own sister’s murder in the case she is determined to solve. Will the present clues help shed light on the past and lead to closure on a long cold case?
That’s just the tip of the iceberg as this story has several layers and the suspense builds in an excellent manner with no lags.
No spoilers but I think you’ll have a hard time putting this one down.

Ashton creates a vibrant and believable cast of characters in Led by Lies, who quickly begin to feel like real, breathing people. The investigators’ search for the killer is a fascinating look at how technology can help stalkers and serial killers find victims, but it's also an invaluable tool for law enforcement to identify and apprehend those criminals. If you want a non stop, adrenaline filled story, read this book. It begins fast and never lets up till the end. It's the kind of book that makes you keep turning the page, hoping you can keep up.
Lily is a Homicide Detective and is investigating a series of murders. Her own family is involved in all of it and she works to uncover all the secrets, not knowing the frightening conclusion will be shocking. I loved it!

Lily is a homicide detective. Her first case as lead investigator is a double homicide that has too many similarities to her sister’s murder. She feels tremendous pressure to get this one right, especially because of the connection to her sister. Her father, also a homicide detective, was killed not long ago and her sister’s case has become cold. Lily’s instincts tell her, if she can find the killer, she will not only solve her current case but she can get justice for her sister as well. As Lily tries to untangle the evidence and track a predator she soon realizes everyone is lying; even those people closest to her.
This book is a murder mystery. The plot is well structured and the story moves along smoothly. The characters were believable and flawed in their own realistic way. There were enough surprises to keep a reader interested until the end. I recommend this book to anyone who enjoys a good murder mystery.

Led by Lies is an excellent read. It plunges you into the world of Lilly Blanchette. Intriguing, it keeps you turning the pages. The author places a premium on characterization. One is compelled to delve into the characters. The plot was brilliant. This book is well worth its price. I recommend this book as it is a five-star read.

This was a book that was very hard to put down. If you like edge of your seat thrillers, this is a book I definitely recommend.
I haven’t read the author’s bio yet but I think she definitely has a solid crime writing background or experience in police work as this was a professionally written, high caliber story.
The characters were excellent and complemented each other in a way that added extra layers to already rich plot.
