Lilly & Lila tells the story of two best friends, Lilly and Lila, who attend a school for the deaf. One day they and the other children are outside playing as the sun sets; Lila starts to feel nervous because she also has trouble seeing in low light. Lilly creates a new game to play with Lila that also engages their classmates.
