So, he decided to see if the one girl he loved was still available and found out that she had also made changes in her life. She came home to visit with her family, and she called him. They became friends but soon found out they were still in love. He tried to find work in their hometown but could not fit in with the life he had left for the military, and he found himself going back into the army and taking her along with him. He was sent back overseas shortly after they arrived in Arizona. While overseas, he almost died, but a rumor started by another told of his infidelity while overseas when he was in the overseas hospital. Soon after he returns to Arizona, his love leaves him as she believes the rumor, and he is left dumbfounded by her leaving.
