Mistrust: A Death Dwellers MC Novel
Kathryn Kelly, author
As soon as Roxy Doucette meets Knox Harrington, a new associate of the Death Dwellers club attorney, sparks fly. The all-too-handsome Knox is supremely arrogant, and Roxy doesn’t put up with that sort of attitude. She isn’t the only one who’s unimpressed; Christopher "Outlaw" Caldwell, the club's president, is suspicious of Knox. He asks Roxy if she would seduce Knox into bed for some "pillow talk”. Of course Roxy is outraged at Outlaw's proposal, but her protest is undermined by her own attraction to Knox, and she finally agrees to “date” him. Born to wealth and privilege, Knox Harrington is a former police officer who has little to no respect for biker clubs—in particular the Death Dwellers, and ESPECIALLY its president. Now a private investigator, Knox is working to bring down Outlaw and the Dwellers. To his mind, the club members' nefarious deeds warrant their destruction, and Knox intends to achieve it by any means possible. When he meets the beautiful, formidable Roxy, he recognizes his instant attraction, but he also sees an opportunity to use her for information. Knox hasn't a clue that Roxy is on to him. Roxy tells herself that she’s seducing Knox for the good of the club, but that’s not exactly the truth. He’s a gorgeous man, who’s ten years younger than she is. As a 44-year-old cancer survivor with four children, she loves every moment with him. But even if she’s dazzled by his obvious attraction to her—and her own response to his abs—she can’t let him keep thinking that he’s the sharpest tool in the shed. He sure the hell is a tool. And Roxy is just the person to teach him a lesson or two. But when push comes to shove, will Knox keep to his preconceptions about the club and lose Roxy forever? Or will love change his mind—and his life?
