“I avoid fiction written from a first person point of view, but the author crafts the story in such a way that the point of view didn't faze me. The way in which she describes some aspects of the book and characters is refreshing. I felt like I was in the main character’s, Pearl Joy Matthews’, head, through the thick of things. Joy is over the way she was raised and has purposed her life to march to the beat of her own drum, but as with anything else, the consequences of her actions catch up to her in unsuspecting ways. She’s definitely a life-sized character that demands your attention.
When the enchanting Quinton Daley comes on the scene, his stellar physique, charisma, and magnetic aura lets you know things will only be interesting, electrifying between him and Joy.
My Joy has a great blend of innocently erotic, spine-tingling, as well as heartfelt moments. While you may read and think you have the plot and next turn of events figured out, Suzette crafts the details of the story in such a way that you'll readily turn the page and hold your breath with wide eyes as the plot unfolds. Each character conveyed and the sequence of events of the plot begs you to read and enjoy My Joy.”
“The words in My Joy swirl together to carry the reader on a descriptive journey that won't let go.”
“Standing Ovation…BRAVO! BRAVO! A round of applause for Ms. Harrison. She truly out did herself with My Joy. My emotions, curiosity, and imagination remained on an all-time high throughout the story.
With the way Ms. Harrison penned this story I felt like I was one of the girls and definitely had to put in my two cents. My Joy is a delightful page-turner until the very end. It will have you completely engaged. Ex- cellent job, Ms. Harrison!”
