Brigitte Brulz celebrated National Pickle Day at a Hy-Vee with about 80 second graders who had the opportunity to listen to her read Pickles, Pickles, I Like Pickles. The children also had the pleasure of taking a store tour, making quick pickles to take home, and sampling various pickled items.
In the evening, Brigitte did the same activities at a public event where the public was welcome to listen to Pickles, Pickles, I Like Pickles, tour the store, make quick pickles, and sample pickled items. $1.99 of each book sold at this event was donated to Big Brothers Big Sisters Cedar Rapids.

Brigitte Brulz had the pleasure of presenting her book Pickles, Pickles, I Like Pickles at a library during preschool storytime. She had fun reading her book and doing some crafts along with the children. $2 of each book purchased at the storytime was donated to the library.
