Time Meddlers on the Nile

Children/Young Adult; Sci-Fi/Fantasy/Horror; (Market)

One of Canada’s top scientists has discovered the secret to time travel. But everything has gone wrong.

Thirteen-year-old Matt Barnes and Sarah Sachs, while attempting to rescue Matt's father from multiple universes, face an even more challenging obstacle: the erasure of their own timeline. What can they do before they, themselves, are erased?

Somewhere along the Nile the two teens must prevent the ultimate meddling during the time of Nubian pharaohs and princes, palaces and temples to rival the ancient Egyptians and fearsome desert raiders. They must puzzle out the moment and event where Matt's father or his arch nemesis, Nadine, interfered with history. If they don't, it could mean the end of time as we know it, or a never-ending loop of time.

Children's Literature

Matt and Sarah once again travel through time in order to save Matt's dad from his ensnarement within multiple universes. This time, however, their own existence is at stake, as they race against time and the erasure of the timeline that they somehow upset along the way....

Readers of the "Time Meddlers" series will delight in this third book as they are once again traveling through time with the two friends who become even more in this installment. Most will find it refreshing that any romance takes a backseat to the adventure and the task at hand.

CM Magazine - Recommended

Time Meddlers on the Nile is an entertaining blend of historical fiction and science fiction that will appeal to readers of both genres.

In the historical notes, Jackson states she chose to illustrate the connection between our lives and those of a distant, remote, lesser known people and how changes in their lives could impact our own. Her explanation for focussing on the Nubian dynasty is refreshing, and the history appears to be well-researched.
