In a moment of regret, Marjorie tries to apologize and offers to get Bernice a wig. However, in a turn of events, Bernice retaliates by cutting off Marjorie's hair in the middle of the night.
The story explores themes of conformity, social expectations, jealousy, and the desire for acceptance. It delves into the complexities of relationships between women, the pressure to fit in, and the lengths some might go to in order to be liked. Ultimately, the characters grapple with identity, authenticity, and the sometimes harsh realities of social dynamics.
