Zoo Day by Tina Marie Kaht is as educational as it is fun to read. I enjoyed just looking at the bright, colorful images. The story is in short, easy-to-read verse and describes many zoo animals. I love the fact they are not behind bars so you can see them more plainly and it gives them the look of being free in the wild. I love animals so I really enjoyed reading all the facts and I even learned that a female kangaroo is called a "doe." I never knew that. This is a joy to read and your children will love and learn from it and you might learn something too.
I love all the beautiful illustrations of the animals! My children, ages 2 & 4, love making all the animal sounds right along with the book. Defiantly a new favorite for us!
