Testimonials from Authors Like You

I signed up for a PW BookLife Review of my book Individual Performer to Manager. It was made clear up front that the reviewer would "tell it like it is" so I held my breath waiting for the outcome. Through the process, I had the pleasure of interacting with people who were professional, always on top of things, prompt, and friendly. The icing on the cake was receiving a very positive book review! The follow-up guidance and support on what to do and expect next were also excellent. —Norm Oshiro
I appreciated the BookLife Review for Okinawa, not just because of the kind words but also for the quality of writing in the review. BookLife reviewers are highly professional and the review text very marketable. A BookLife Review can give invaluable guidance on a book's strengths and weaknesses. Reviews may be tough but are always constructive. A BookLife Review is an essential part of my writing and marketing process. —FX Holden

Three-Step Process

  1. Complete the form with information about your book, and upload a digital copy of your book, the cover, and the marketing description.
  2. In just six weeks, a professional PW reviewer who is an expert in your genre or field will deliver a review containing:
    • Three full paragraphs (about 300 words) of plot summary, critique, and analysis of your book, including an assessment of which readers are most likely to enjoy the book.
    • An honest, positive one-sentence takeaway that summarizes the reviewer's opinion of the book's best aspects and likely audience.
    • Comparison (comp) titles and/or authors so you can target the right readers.
    • Letter grades (from A+ to C) for five production elements: cover art, interior design and typography, illustrations (if applicable), editing, and marketing copy.
  3. With your approval, the review will be published in Publishers Weekly's printed magazine and online on BookLife's website and social media channels, and shared with e-commerce sites such as Amazon and Barnes & Noble and book databases such as Ingram and Baker & Taylor. If you don't want to publish your review, it remains visible only to you.
