A.S. Roper is a history-making public servant serving as the first African American to serve as a Magistrate/Judge in her county of West Virginia. She is only the 2nd African American woman to serve as a Magistrate in the state of West Virginia. A.S. Roper is also the CEO of a consulting firm and a grassroots philanthropist. A.S. Roper was born Arthena Sewell at Andrews Airforce Base in Washington D.C. She was formally educated in the state of West Virginia while spending her summers with family in the state of Texas. A.S. Roper is a student of life earning three Masters Degrees: Public Administration, Teaching, and Educational Leadership. A.S.
