Abigail Schwaig was brought up in the suburbs of Houston by entrepreneur parents and a vivacious, lovingly bossy older sister. Homeschooled from kindergarten all throughout high school, she had much time to herself. She spent this time wisely, concocting her own worlds and characters by playing dress-up in the treehouse in the backyard. At the age of about twelve, she put aside treehouse dress-up and sought to find herself by using the stage as a tool. By fourteen years of age, she had taken to it like a fish gasping for oxygen, and went on to perform and star in several musicals in youth theatre in the Woodlands and in Houston. At seventeen, she sojourned to Los Angeles to find her destiny as an actress, but swiftly realized that it was most definitely NOT a city of angels, and came back to Houston for an intense year and a half of soul-searching. By nineteen, she was ready to use her experiences in all areas of life to weave stories for the benefit of mankind. She started Fortune's Detour in the late summer of 2013 and finished it in the early autumn of 2014. She has already started writing her next book which will also take place in the "elusive Deka Quadrant". She hopes to finish it by the winter of 2015.
