Sir (Chief) Adolphus Ekejiuba, KSJI, (Agbawodikeizu), hails from Isiala Mbano Local Government Area, Imo State, Nigeria. He attended Aquinas Secondary School, Osu, 1963 to 1967/70. He obtained the Higher School Certificate at the Holy Ghost Secondary School, Owerri, in 1972. He graduated in Geology from the University of Ibadan, Ibadan, Nigeria, with Second Class Honors degree, Upper Division in 1977.
After his National Service, Adolphus spent his main working career with the Shell Petroleum Development Company of Nigeria Limited as a geologist before retiring in mid-2004. A great philanthropist, he contributed significantly to his community development and well-being of the less-privileged. A member of the Knights of St. John International, Sir Ekejiuba was later nominated the Traditional Chief of his village. He established the Adolphus Ekejiuba Foundation to curtail restiveness, laziness, ignorance and disease among the youths and society in general. Sir. Ekejiuba is married with children.
