Alison Blasdell is a retired professor who published her first novel in December 2018. She earned a PhD in physiology and biophysics. An equestrian, with a background in music, martial arts, and a passion for history, Alison often weaves these areas of interest into multi-genre novels, and always at the center is a woman of strength and compassion. Alison is a frequent guest speaker with an upcoming engagement at the Abraham Lincoln Presidential Library and Museum where she will present, "Romanticizing History or Presenting the Brutal Truth: The Challenge in Writing Historic Fiction." She is a finalist in the Illinois Times Best of Springfield Favorite Author Category. She is a new author who has two novels published. Both have received an averaged rating of 5-Stars on Amazon. Her novels are fast-paced with attention to historic detail. Alison lives with her husband, two dogs, and four horses in the Midwest on a farm that has been in her family for 175 years.
