Ana Costa Alongi was born in 1960 in Villa Ballester, Buenos Aires, Argentina. Her parents, Ana and Jose, brought up Ana and her siblings, Luis and Elisabet, in a modern middle class home, while struggling to maintain cultural and social standards. She came from a family of artists, including painters, musicians, sculptors and writers. Ana always had a strong academic inclination and achievement. Her scholastic and inquisitive nature was a fundamental principle in her life which led her to further professional training, and advantageous and prestigious positions in her career.
She came to the United States in 2002, determined to embrace the artistic life. Ana was driven to develop her writing skills and highlight her artistic journey through literature, which in itself is implicitly full of adventures and challenges. Although she continued to perform her daily work, she was also simultaneously writing, and in 2008 she decided to develop further her innate abilities and prepare for a professional career by studying Creative Writing in college.
She completed her first novel Cuerpo Mortal (Mortal Flesh) and in 2011 she and her husband, Sebastian Alongi, founded Sigillum Publishers, in order to publish their work and help other new authors. In 2012 Ana published two new books, Mortal Flesh and Alma Inmortal, Spanish edition.
She is currently completing a fourth book, which is part of the Mortal Flesh saga. These books are just the beginning of a literary career that Ana Costa Alongi is eager to continue and strengthen in the years to come.
Her motto and personal belief is: “imagination is the essence of creation and through both we build the future and a better civilization.”
