I come from a family of adventurous women. An immigrant twice myself (to Canada and to the USA,) I understand from personal experience the challenges of being uprooted, either by choice or not, and remaking a life in a new place.
My mother, who wrote her life story which I blogged in http://www.my101years.com, first inspired me with her tales of life in Canada and England, so it was a natural step for me to begin writing when I discovered stories that needed a voice.
My first novel, Another Ocean to Cross, was published in February 2018 and is loosely based on a family story. In addition to historical fiction, I write flash fiction and short non-fiction. I have published three articles in the news magazine of the British Home Child Advocacy and Research Association, and I am a guest blogger for the award winning writers' blog, Writers in the Storm.
I am available as a public speaker, and offer limited editing services upon request. More information is available on my website.
A dual Canadian-US citizen, I reside in Mesa, Arizona with my husband. When not writing, I can be found at the golf course, or making music with my church choir.
