Bethany Moore, born September 20, 1982, is a poet, witch, and activist who has published in various online journals and print magazines. Bethany Moore, born September 20, 1982, is a poet, witch, and activist who has published in various online journals and print magazines. She is also a singer and lyricist, and has recorded and performed with two bands, Dead Violets and Burntsystems. She produced an album with Burntsystems in 2013 called Witchrock.
In the early 2000s, she participated in spoken-word poetry circles in Washington, D.C., and works in multimedia and communications projects for important causes. Some of her work history includes recording audio with native speakers for the National Foreign Language Center at the University of Maryland, serving as campaign project manager at Americans United for Separation of Church and State, as well as communications management for National Cannabis Industry Association.
She has been writing poetry and practicing Paganism since before the age of twelve, and enjoys the study of healing, alchemy, and ritual work.
