Bill Kiley is a retired Deputy Police Chief and a retired Colonel, U.S.Army. A first time author of a Children's Picture book at age 71, Bill resides on Long Island, NY with his childhood sweetheart and wife of forty-nine years, Kathy. Among his academic credentials, Bill holds two Master of Science degrees, is a graduate of the F.B.I. National Academy in Quantico, VA, a graduate of the U.S. Army Command and General Staff College, also a graduate of the Senior Management Institute for Police at the Kennedy School, Harvard University. Mr. Kiley is a Past Presaident of the F.B.I. National Academy Associates New York State and Eastern Canada Chapter. Bill is also a President Emeritus of the International Association for Property & Evidence, Inc.
The grandfather of five girls, Bill spent lots of time in Children's libraries reading to his "princesses," and he says that is was that experience that led him to decide to write a Children's book. "Hope and Freckles: Fleeing to a Better Forest," (www.HopeAndFreckles.com) is a story about refugees and asylum seekers. Mr. Kiley plans on this being the first of a series of books about the same characters.
