C. Raymond Gray grew up in Tuskegee, Alabama, a town rich in history. He is the fourth from the last of twenty children. Being in that spot, nothing came easily for him. At an early age, he learned to occupy his time with books. But things got interesting at the age of ten when underneath their old house he found a waterlogged copy of “The Hobbit”. Its pages were all swollen, torn, and tattered from being left in the rain. He began to read about the journey and adventure of this little man named Bilbo Baggins. He became enthralled and wrapped up in the world of Middle Earth. The book inspired him to write, and he began creating his own little worlds. Over the years, he has become a fascinating storyteller wowing audiences filled with children, teachers, and parents alike.
His debut book, “The FunGkins,” pronounced Fun-G-kins, is for children 7-12 and is a book series and a testament to that fact. This fairy tale of an adventure will take you places so amazing that once you are there you will be exceedingly glad you came. The Midwest Review called it “a superbly crafted fantasy adventure… This book is certain to be a thoroughly enjoyed read from beginning to end… Very highly recommended.”
