Bookending life in New Orleans, where she currently lives, Carol attended The Boston Museum School and graduated with honors from The New York Restaurant School. Her illustrations and product designs have been featured in national newspapers, magazines and design blogs, her design for the Krewe of Iris flag hangs from homes in New Orleans every Mardi Gras. Her writing has won her two residencies at Hypatia in the Woods in Washington State, Honorable Mention in Short Fiction from Glimmer Train, and Semi-Finalist in Walker Percy Short Fiction.
Since moving back home she’s written features on food, art, and interesting
people for ViaNolaVie, a New Orleans life and culture blog affiliated with Tulane
University. Subjects range from how a Producer mines the complexity of the Super Bowl to find his story for 60 Minutes Sports, to profiles of artists and cooks, from a Farriers Convention with an International Horse Shoeist Hall of Famer to acting sous-chef for a NYC Russian restaurant pop-up in New Orleans. Pulitzer had a bit part speaking in the only movie that has ever authentically gotten New Orleans, The King of New Orleans, putting stage fright to bed permanently.
