Carolyn CJ Jones is an international bestselling author of The Art of Forgiveness: A Promise of Peace, silver medal winner for world peace for Opening the Gates of the Heart: A Journey of Healing, forgiveness instructor, speaker, and coach, and retired registered nurse.
In the course of her own healing journey, CJ discovered forgiveness for her past. As a result, she became able to transcend the angry, bitter, blaming victim feelings she’d had for thirty of her adult years, to become one who lives in gratitude and positivity. During her years as a victim, she drank and did drugs, which only fueled the flame of her resentment. Eventually, CJ’s drinking brought her to devastation over an unrequited love; this experience led her to sobriety.
As CJ continued her growth and healing, she learned how to practice gratitude at a very deep level, and in fact, became grateful for the unrequited love that she still grieved. Today, she finds herself living in a state of gratitude and positivity, even grateful for the past she abhored for thirty years.
CJ teaches forgiveness at the College of Marin in Kentfield, California. She also presented her forgiveness course to men at San Quentin State Prison; men forgave. In addition to San Quentin, she spoke at a national women’s empowerment conference and was the leader in a breakout room for another national conference. Many stages in the Bay Area have been graced with CJ’s presence. She speaks of how to achieve forgiveness and find peace.
