Charles has always been passionate about drawing and storytelling, and pursued that passion at New York University, receiving his B.F.A. in filmmaking at the Tisch School of the Arts and his M.A. in business and writing at the Gallatin School of Individualized Study.
For the past 25 years Charles has been screenwriting and working in production. He has produced five feature films in all, some of which he’s written and directed. Charles recently produced and co-write “Drew: The Man Behind The Poster,” an award-winning documentary about the legendary “Star Wars,” “Back To The Future” and “Indiana Jones” movie poster artist Drew Struzan, featuring interviews with George Lucas, Harrison Ford, Steven Spielberg, Michael J. Fox, Guillermo del Toro and Frank Darabont.
Recently Charles adapted two of his screenplays into books: “The Great Appalachian Trail Race” is an exciting and heartfelt novel about a fictional footrace across the entire A.T. and “The Night The Bullies Were Bullied!” is an anti-bullying children’s tale, in which he also illustrated.
Charles continues to write and currently lives in New York City with his wife and two children.
