Chaz Thompson dropped out of school in 1969 to join the circus. When the circus left town without him he picked up his guitar and hit the road. He landed in Madison, Wisconsin, where Disco killed his music career and led him to a more secure vocation as a graphic artist.
After moving back to southern California he began writing screenplays, but dropped his agent after a disagreeable transaction. He turned to writing novels, where the final word is the author's. More or less.
Retired now, Chaz lives in the San Fernando Valley with his family.
