Clay Moor is an American by birth, not choice. He is of Scotch-Irish-German-English heritage, making him a WASP for all seasons. Moor traveled extensively in Europe and Africa in his younger days. While in Europe, he was a member of the 5th Special Forces Group, a unit of the U.S. Army; in Africa, he was a mercenary. As the continent became more stable, he was unable to ply his trade, and he returned to America. Here, on the High Plains, he purchased a small farm and ranch where he has lived since his late twenties and has been writing, mostly poetry. This is his first novel, but he has already started his second, unless he must digress and it turns out to be a play instead. He knows he can never rival Shakespeare, but if one doesn't butt heads with the greats, one will never get strong. Mr. Moor is now thirty-six years old.
